Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe that your copyrighted work has been used or displayed on Tooplus.ng in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please follow these steps to report the infringement:
1. Submit a Copyright Complaint
Please send an email to our designated Copyright Agent at copyright@tooplus.ng with the following information:
- A detailed description of the copyrighted work that you believe has been infringed, including any registration details if applicable.
- Clear identification of the specific location or URL where the alleged infringement is occurring on Tooplus.ng.
- Your contact information, including your full name, email address, and phone number.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief that the use of the copyrighted material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information provided in your notice is accurate, and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
2. Verification Process
Upon receipt of a valid copyright complaint, Tooplus.ng will initiate an investigation to verify the claim. We may contact the alleged infringing party to provide them with an opportunity to respond to the complaint.
3. Action Taken
If we determine that copyright infringement has occurred, we will take appropriate actions, which may include:
- Removing or disabling access to the infringing content.
- Notifying the alleged infringing party of the removal or disabling of the content.
- Providing information to both parties to facilitate communication and resolution.
- Repeated or egregious infringing behavior may result in the suspension or termination of the user’s account.
Counter-Notification
If you believe that your content was mistakenly removed or disabled due to a copyright complaint, you may submit a counter-notification. To do so, please provide our Copyright Agent with the following information:
- A description of the content that was removed or disabled and its location on Tooplus.ng.
- Your contact information, including your full name, email address, and phone number.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief that the content was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which you are located (or the Nigerian Federal Capital Territory, if you are located outside of Nigeria) and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original copyright complaint.
Repeat Infringers
Tooplus.ng may take appropriate action against users who are determined to be repeat infringers of copyright. This action may include the termination of their accounts.
